Jamshedpur, Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, also known as "Tata Nagar" or the "Steel City of India," was founded in 1907 by Jamsetji Tata and is home to India's first integrated steel plant — Tata Steel. It is one of India's finest planned cities, managed by JUSCO (Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company, a Tata group subsidiary) rather than a municipal corporation, resulting in clean streets, reliable utilities, and well-maintained parks. The city sits at the confluence of the Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers. Jubilee Park, a 225-acre green space, and Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary on the outskirts add to the city's livability. Jamshedpur has been the hometown of Indian cricket legends like MS Dhoni (who worked at MECON here) and the training ground for many sportspersons through Tata Athletics Academy.
